At Sage Bistro, we believe that exceptional dining transcends mere sustenance. Our commitment to culinary excellence, combined with an atmosphere of sophisticated warmth, creates moments that linger long after the last bite.
Neil & Katy
Mother nature is the true artist. The more chefs work food the more they take away.
Our approach centers on profound respect for ingredients, the artistry of technique, and the joy of sharing extraordinary experiences.
A passion for detail leads to excellence.
True hospitality lies in the small things, consistency, care, and a genuine desire to enhance dining experiences.
Founded in 2025, Sage Bistro emerged from a vision to create an intimate dining destination where culinary excellence meets sophisticated hospitality. Born out of a passion for providing quality service and exceptional food.
Being both born and raised in Dorset, we started out by providing outside catering to the local community. It has always been a dream of ours to open a Bistro somewhere in Dorset. Where better than Poole, with it's historical charm and vibrant athmosphere.

With focaccia, ketchup dressing, red onion, rocket. A must for any steak lover.
Unlike many lemon tarts, this one is both creamy and tasty without the bitterness.
Great menu! Excellent food and service. Atmosphere was lovely and chilled. We would highly recommend. 5 stars!
We ate at Sage last Thursday evening and the food was delicious. Loved the rabbit stew and the French chocolate tart with creme fraiche sorbet and cherries was divine .The wine was excellent. We would definitely recommend and was served by friendly Katy & Oli. A great night out. Thanks
Enjoyed a first class meal here on Saturday night. Great food and excellent value. Really cosy atmosphere and friendly welcome and service. We hope Neil and Katie do well. We will definitely be back and can thoroughly recommend.
We found this restaurant by chance when looking for somewhere to eat in central Poole. This one really stood out because of its interesting, unusual menu. We later learnt that it had only been open a few days so we were lucky to be able to go. The food was really interesting, great flavours and well presented. We considered it was almost better than some Michelin star restaurants that we have visited in the past. The service was also very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant, although small, was airy and was well presented. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and we’ll visit again if we go to Poole.
Highly recommend this brand new restaurant which we found by chance on an overnight stay in Poole. Food and service were outstanding!
